"Apex IT did a great job on our cloud project"

- Customer Testimonial

Before there was even the term Cloud, we worked on cloud-like projects for corporations, universities, and municipal governments that they could not afford to have fail. We helped our clients solve some of their most complex business and IT problems using cloud technology to:

increase speed-to-market,
allow faster provisioning,
create new business models,
decrease capital spending,
reallocate staff,
increase confidence in their organization's and management's direction.
Should I be investing in the cloud?

At a minimum you should be investing your attention. The Cloud is a disruptive, game changing technology driven by powerful trends out side of computing such as the cost of energy, politics in the Middle East, and the unintended consequences of Moore's Law. Over the next decade these trends may drive most enterprise computing off site. At the same time, Cloud computing is at the height of the Gartner Hype Curve with many service and product providers making claims that are simply not possible. We help our client's sort through the hype and determine what where the cloud can have the most impact.

What cloud technologies might be right for me?

As with any rapidly changing market, there are many potential obstacles to cloud computing and technological traps to avoid. That is especially true today as a host of unproven vendors make outrageous claims about their products and over promise. We believe in the cloud and have moved all our own IT infrastructure there. Our clients are turning to us for advice in planning their own cloud strategies and configuring their own cloud offerings.

Does it really cost less to go with software-as-a-service SaaS?

Although SaaS applications carry a lower upfront costs, over time, subscription fees add up. Like any buy/lease decision there is a crossover point where owning the application is less expensive than renting it. This dollar and cents decision is also determined by cash flow, cost of capital, and the internal return on investment. At Apex IT we like to make sure our customers understand not just the pros but also the cons surrounding SaaS. Armed with the facts, customers can deploy those applications to the cloud with the best business model.
